What’s your writing style?
Cassandra Clare: I think you always write
the book you want to read. I love humor
and drama and romance, and I love reading
books where they’re combined all together
in such a way that they work to amplify
each other. There’s nothing I enjoy more
than a book that makes me laugh—except
maybe writing a book that hopefully will
make other people laugh!—but I also love
being carried along by the drama and the
romance, so I tried to make sure you’d get
some of each in all my books.
